Fool’s Folly with a Firm Foundation

Giant birthed by human mind

In the wind it thought to shine

Though fierce sometimes may be the gale

It’s far too mighty to fail

The top sways, trembles, quakes

But the base will never break

Foundation holds firm and sure

Nothing to uproot this cur

During a storm, a tempest, a squall

The top seems sure to fall

As with my love, it might bend

When weakened bond we must mend

With a fool’s folly and fate divide

Threaten failure, caused by pride

Chaos reigns at fateful hour

Spire shudders atop the tower

And like the skyscraper peak

Sometimes proud things seem weak

But steadfast, the foundation stands

Till end of times, as my heart has planned
