For a day, a week, a month, a year
I refuse to be crippled by my fears
Catch the breath I sorely need
Pass behind me thoughts of greed
I’ve oft been told to take the leap
But thoughts of progress lose me sleep
Failures past should be lessons now
Discard those worries, I wonder how
Baggage on my my shoulders weighed
Heart and soul, my past once preyed
To free my mind I must leave behind
Worries, woes and thoughts unkind
Because I’ve learned through blood and toil
Love and passion bring fruit from soil
So I seek whatever my heart’s delight
And learn anew: never give up the fight
Find peace and love above all things
Only with those can I realize my dreams
