Have you ever looked to the sky

to only see the rain

Have you ever seen a fallen tree

to think of what once reigned

Do you feel something in the breeze

as you walk hand in hand

With someone you have always loved

who helped you understand

Have you felt fear as death was near

while trembling in the night

Have you survived the pain of loss

of which there was no fight

Have tears cascaded down your face

as only a broken man can cry

Then you might feel as my heart does now

to finally say goodbye
